First of the year (well, almost)

First of the year (well, almost)

Happy New Year!
A little late, I know. But I figure we're only 10 days in, so I can still say it. I have a thing about staying in Christmas mode for as long as possible anyway LOL!
So the year is getting underway, and we're getting ready to do big things around here, but I figured we can't be friends if you don't know who I am.
My name is Robin Alexander, and I write books under both RM Alexander & Melody Ash. As long as I can remember, stories have been a part of my life, part of who I was. Tell me a good story ~ movies, TV, books, history, doesn't matter ~ and you've got my fulll attention.
People ask me all the time how long I've been writing and I am being completely honest when I say I wrote my first (ghost) story when I was ten years old. I remember it cleraly, and the story is still somewhere in the closet.
Over the years, I tried a lot to make a lot of things my career, and some I even loved (travel is forever in my blood - more on that later), but in the end, I always came back to writing. One person I talked to said it sounded like I was born to write, and I couldn't agree more.
In between all that stuff, I met and married my husband, had two of the greatest kids in the world (yeah, I know I'm biased, but they really, truly are), and found this little sassy pomsky who is far more husky than she is pomranian and has all the attitude to prove it.
I wrote my first book for publication after my oldest was born (Veil of Secrecy), publishing my first book (Matter of Choice) as RM Alexander in 2014 - Veil was released shortly afterward - and then released the first book under Melody Ash in 2019. And just recently, I started a partnership with author Susan Berry to build Restless Hearts Publishing which is home to all my books,

Some of my favorites? Okay, real quick:
Favorite book: 11/22/63 by Stephen King
Favorite movie: Pride and Prejudice (2005 version with Kiera Knightley)
Favorite TV show: Um... right now, it's probably Vampire Diaries - my oldest loves it (Okay, I do too), but watching it with her and all the talks we have about it are some of my favorite times
Favorite vacation place: Walt Disney World (I'm a bit obsessed, no apologies)
Favorite color: really deep, rich purple
Favorite song: Nope, I refuse to answer this one - it's impossible. If there's anything I love as much as I do stories, it's music. And I'm insanely ecletic in what I listen to
Favorite pasttimes when not writing: This is almost as hard. Being a mom who homeschools and building a business doesn't leave for a lot of extra time. I love to travel, I do enjoy scrapbooking (I know, not a thing very much anymore but it's fun), and hanging with my family.
Ok, so that's me in a nutshell. I'll be back in one week. Have a great one! And don't forget to let me know what some of your favorites are. I want to get to know you too ;)
